bhagavÄn Ätma-tandriṇÄ
dig-vÄsaso mukta-keÅ›Än
vÄ«ká¹£ya cÄmÄ«layad dṛśau
sṛṣá¹vÄ - having created; bhÅ«ta - ghosts; piÅ›ÄcÄn - fiends; ca - and; bhagavÄn - Lord BrahmÄ; Ätma - his; tandriá¹‡Ä - from laziness; dik-vÄsasaḥ - naked; mukta - disheveled; keÅ›Än - hair; vÄ«ká¹£ya - seeing; ca - and; amÄ«layat - closed; dṛśau - two eyes.
Ghosts and mischievous hobgoblins are also the creation of BrahmÄ; they are not false. All of them are meant for putting the conditioned soul into various miseries. They are understood to be the creation of BrahmÄ under the direction of the Supreme Lord.
