कश्यप उवाच
कृतशोकानुतापेन सद्यः प्रत्यवमर्शनात् ।
भगवत्युरुमानाच्च भवे मय्यपि चादरात् ॥४४॥
पुत्रस्यैव च पुत्राणां भवितैकः सतां मतः ।
गास्यन्ति यद्यशः शुद्धं भगवद्यशसा समम् ॥४५॥

ká¹›ta-Å›okÄnutÄpena
sadyaḥ pratyavamarÅ›anÄt
bhagavaty uru-mÄnÄc ca
bhave mayy api cÄdarÄt
putrasyaiva ca putrÄṇÄá¹
bhavitaikaḥ satÄá¹ mataḥ
gÄsyanti yad-yaÅ›aḥ Å›uddhaá¹
bhagavad-yaÅ›asÄ samam

 kaÅ›yapaḥ uvÄca - the learned KaÅ›yapa said; ká¹›ta-Å›oka - having lamented; anutÄpena - by penitence; sadyaḥ - immediately; pratyavamarÅ›anÄt - by proper deliberation; bhagavati - unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead; uru - great; mÄnÄt - adoration; ca - and; bhave - unto Lord Åšiva; mayi api - unto me also; ca - and; ÄdarÄt - by respect; putrasya - of the son; eva - certainly; ca - and; putrÄṇÄm - of the sons; bhavitÄ - shall be born; ekaḥ - one; satÄm - of the devotees; mataḥ - approved; gÄsyanti - will broadcast; yat - of whom; yaÅ›aḥ - recognition; Å›uddham - transcendental; bhagavat - of the Personality of Godhead; yaÅ›asÄ - with recognition; samam - equally.

The learned KaÅ›yapa said: Because of your lamentation, penitence and proper deliberation, and also because of your unflinching faith in the Supreme Personality of Godhead and your adoration for Lord Åšiva and me, one of the sons [PrahlÄda] of your son [HiraṇyakaÅ›ipu] will be an approved devotee of the Lord, and his fame will be broadcast equally with that of the Personality of Godhead.
