nimeá¹£aឥ - the duration of time called a nimeá¹£a; tri-lavaឥ - the duration of three lavas; jñeyaឥ - is to be known; ÄmnÄtaឥ - it is so called; te - they; trayaឥ - three; ká¹£aá¹aឥ - the duration of time called a ká¹£aá¹a; ká¹£aá¹Än - such ká¹£aá¹as; pañca - five; viduឥ - one should understand; kÄá¹£á¹hÄm - the duration of time called a kÄá¹£á¹hÄ; laghu - the duration of time called a laghu; tÄឥ - those; daÅa pañca - fifteen; ca - also.
By calculation it is found that one laghu is equal to two minutes. The atomic calculation of time in terms of Vedic wisdom may be converted into present time with this understanding.
