 Å›rÄ«-Å›ukaḥ uvÄca - ÅšrÄ« Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said; etat - this; Å›rutvÄ - having heard; mahÄ-bhÄgaḥ - the greatly fortunate; vasudevaḥ - King Vasudeva; ati-vismitaḥ - extremely amazed; devakÄ« - mother DevakÄ«; ca - and; mahÄ-bhÄgÄ - the greatly fortunate; jahatuḥ - they both gave up; moham - the confusion; Ätmanaḥ - their own.

ÅšrÄ« Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« continued: Having heard this narration, the greatly fortunate Vasudeva was completely struck with wonder. Thus he and his most blessed wife DevakÄ« gave up all illusion and anxiety that had entered their hearts.
