yatra pratyak sarasvatī
striyaḥ - the women; bÄlÄḥ - children; ca - and; vá¹›ddhÄḥ - old men; ca - and; Å›aá¹…kha-uddhÄram - to the holy place called Åšaá¹…khoddhÄra (about halfway between DvÄrakÄ and PrabhÄsa); vrajantu - they should go; itaḥ - from here; vayam - we; prabhÄsam - to PrabhÄsa; yÄsyÄmaḥ - shall go; yatra - where; pratyak - flowing west; sarasvatÄ« - the river SarasvatÄ«
The women, children and old men should leave this city and go to Åšaá¹…khoddhÄra. We shall go to PrabhÄsa-ká¹£etra, where the river SarasvatÄ« flows toward the west.
The word vayam here refers to the able-bodied male members of the Yadu dynasty.
