Å›ata-vará¹£Ä hy anÄvṛṣṭir
bhaviá¹£yaty ulbaá¹‡Ä bhuvi
tat-kÄlopacitoṣṇÄrko
lokÄá¹s trÄ«n pratapiá¹£yati

 Å›ata-vará¹£Ä - lasting one hundred years; hi - indeed; anÄvṛṣṭiḥ - drought; bhaviá¹£yati - there will be; ulbaá¹‡Ä - terrible; bhuvi - on the earth; tat-kÄla - in that duration of time; upacita - accumulated; uṣṇa - whose heat; arkaḥ - the sun; lokÄn - the worlds; trÄ«n - three; pratapiá¹£yati - will greatly burn.

As cosmic annihilation approaches, a terrible drought takes place on earth for one hundred years. For one hundred years the heat of the sun gradually increases, and its blazing heat begins to torment the three worlds.
