pṛṣṭo jagat-krÄ«á¸anakaḥ sva-Å›aktibhiḥ
gṛhīta-mūrti-traya īśvareśvaro
jagÄda sa-prema-manohara-smitaḥ

 Å›rÄ«-Å›ukaḥ uvÄca - ÅšrÄ« Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said; iti - thus; uddhavena - by Uddhava; ati-anurakta - extremely attached; cetasÄ - whose heart; pṛṣṭaḥ - asked; jagat - the universe; krÄ«á¸anakaḥ - whose plaything; sva-Å›aktibhiḥ - by His own energies; gá¹›hÄ«ta - who has assumed; mÅ«rti - personal forms; trayaḥ - three; Ä«Å›vara - of all controllers; Ä«Å›varaḥ - the supreme controller; jagÄda - He spoke; sa-prema - loving; manaḥ-hara - attractive; smitaḥ - whose smile.

Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said: Thus questioned by the most affectionate Uddhava, Lord Kṛṣṇa, the supreme controller of all controllers, who takes the entire universe as His plaything and assumes the three forms of BrahmÄ, Viṣṇu and Åšiva, began to reply, lovingly displaying His all-attractive smile.
