arcāyām - within the Deity form; sthaṇḍile - in the earth; agnau - in fire; vā - or; sūrye - in the sun; vā - or; apsu - in water; hṛdi - in the heart; dvijaḥ - the brāhmaṇa; dravyeṇa - by various paraphernalia; bhakti-yuktaḥ - endowed with devotion; arcet - he should worship; sva-gurum - his worshipable Lord; mām - Me; amāyayā - without any deception.

A twice-born person should worship Me, his worshipable Lord, without duplicity, offering appropriate paraphernalia in loving devotion to My Deity form or to a form of Me appearing upon the ground, in fire, in the sun, in water or within the worshiper’s own heart.
