paristÄ«rya - scattering (kuÅ›a grass); atha - then; paryuká¹£et - he should sprinkle with water; anvÄdhÄya - performing the ritual of anvÄdhÄna (placing wood into the fire with recitations of oá¹ bhÅ«r bhuvaḥ svaḥ); yathÄ-vidhi - according to the standard prescription; proká¹£aṇyÄ - by the water in the Äcamana vessel; ÄsÄdya - having arranged; dravyÄṇi - the items to be offered as oblations; proká¹£ya - sprinkling them; agnau - within the fire; bhÄvayeta - he should meditate; mÄm - on Me.
ÅšrÄ«la JÄ«va GosvÄmÄ« mentions that one should meditate upon the Lord as the Supersoul within the sacrificial fire.
