tadÄ sukhena yujyeta
dharma-jñÄnÄdibhiḥ pumÄn

 yadÄ - when; itarau - the other two; jayet - overcomes; sattvam - the mode of goodness; bhÄsvaram - luminous; viÅ›adam - pure; Å›ivam - auspicious; tadÄ - then; sukhena - with happiness; yujyeta - he becomes endowed; dharma - with religiousness; jñÄna - knowledge; Ädibhiḥ - and other good qualities; pumÄn - a man.

When the mode of goodness, which is luminous, pure and auspicious, predominates over passion and ignorance, a man becomes endowed with happiness, virtue, knowledge and other good qualities.

One can control one’s mind and senses in the mode of goodness.
