vÄcÄ madhurayÄ prīṇann
idam ÄhÄnna-tarpitÄn
pÄdÄv aá¹…ka-gatau viṣṇoḥ
saá¹spṛśañ chanakair mudÄ

 vÄcÄ - in a voice; madhurayÄ - gentle; prīṇan - trying to please them; idam - this; Äha - he said; anna - with food; tarpitÄn - who had been gratified; pÄdau - the feet; aá¹…ka - on his lap; gatau - situated; viṣṇoḥ - of Lord Kṛṣṇa; saá¹spṛśan - massaging; Å›anakaiḥ - slowly; mudÄ - happily.

When they had eaten to their full satisfaction, for their further pleasure the King began to speak slowly and in a gentle voice as he held Lord Viṣṇu’s feet in his lap and happily massaged them.
