kášášŁáša kášášŁáša - O KášášŁáša, KášášŁáša; mahÄ-yogin - O greatest yogÄŤ; saáš karᚣaáša - O BalarÄma; sanÄtana - eternal; jÄne - I know; vÄm - You two; asya - of this (universe); yat - which; sÄkᚣÄt - directly; pradhÄna - the creative principle of nature; puruᚣau - and the creating Personality of Godhead; parau - supreme.
As taught in the SÄáš khya doctrine of Lord Kapiladeva, pradhÄna is the creative energy of the puruᚣa, the Supreme Person. Thus, of these two principles, the pradhÄna is the predominated energy, female, incapable of independent action, while the puruᚣa is the absolutely independent, primeval creator and enjoyer. Neither KášášŁáša nor His brother BalarÄma belong to the category of subordinate energy; rather, both of Them together are the original puruᚣa, who is always joined by His manifold potencies of pleasure, knowledge and creative emanation.
