diṣṭyÄ vyavasitaá¹ bhÅ«pÄ
bhavanta á¹›ta-bhÄá¹£iṇaḥ

paÅ›ya unmÄdakaá¹ nṛṇÄm

 diṣṭyÄ - fortunate; vyavasitam - your resolve; bhÅ«pÄḥ - O kings; bhavantaḥ - you; á¹›ta - truthfully; bhÄá¹£iṇaḥ - speaking; Å›rÄ« - of opulence; aiÅ›varya - and power; mada - due to the intoxication; unnÄham - lack of restraint; paÅ›ye - I see; unmÄdakam - maddening; nṛṇÄm - for human beings.

Fortunately you have come to the proper conclusion, my dear kings, and what you have spoken is true. I can see that human beings’ lack of self-restraint, which arises from their intoxication with opulence and power, simply leads to madness.
