nÄradaḥ prahasann iva
yoga-mÄyodayaá¹ vÄ«ká¹£ya
mÄnuṣīm Ä«yuá¹£o gatim
atha - thereupon; uvÄca - said; hṛṣīkeÅ›am - to Lord Kṛṣṇa; nÄradaḥ - NÄrada; prahasan - laughing; iva - mildly; yoga-mÄyÄ - of His spiritual bewildering potencies; udayam - the unfolding; vÄ«ká¹£ya - having seen; mÄnuṣīm - human; Ä«yuá¹£aḥ - who was assuming; gatim - ways.
According to ÅšrÄ«la ViÅ›vanÄtha CakravartÄ«, NÄrada fully understood the Lord’s omniscience, and thus when he saw the Lord trying to find out the mood of His ministers, moving about in disguise, NÄrada could not help laughing. But remembering the Lord’s supreme position, he somewhat constrained his laughter.
