Å›rÄ«-rÄjovÄca yathÄ hato bhagavatÄ
bhaumo yene ca tÄḥ striyaḥ
niruddhÄ etad Äcaká¹£va
vikramaá¹ Å›Ärá¹…ga-dhanvanaḥ

 Å›rÄ«-rÄjÄ uvÄca - the King (ParÄ«ká¹£it) said; yathÄ - how; hataḥ - killed; bhagavatÄ - by the Supreme Lord; bhaumaḥ - NarakÄsura, the son of BhÅ«mi, goddess of the earth; yena - by whom; ca - and; tÄḥ - these; striyaḥ - women; niruddhÄḥ - captured; etat - this; Äcaká¹£va - please tell; vikramam - adventure; Å›Ärá¹…ga-dhanvanaḥ - of Lord Kṛṣṇa, the possessor of the bow ÅšÄrá¹…ga.

[King ParÄ«ká¹£it said:] How was BhaumÄsura, who kidnapped so many women, killed by the Supreme Lord? Please narrate this adventure of Lord ÅšÄrá¹…gadhanvÄ’s.
