akṣiṇvaṁs tad-balaṁ sarvaṁ
vṛṣṇayaḥ kṛṣṇa-tejasā
hateᚣu sveᚣv ančkeᚣu
tyakto 'gād aribhir nṛpaḥ

 akᚣiṇvan - they destroyed; tat - his; balam - force; sarvam - entire; vṛṣṇayaḼ - the Vṛṣṇis; kṛṣṇa-tejasā - by the power of Lord Kṛṣṇa; hateᚣu - when they were dead; sveᚣu - his; anÄŤkeᚣu - soldiers; tyaktaḼ - abandoned; agāt - went away; aribhiḼ - by his enemies; nṛpaḼ - the King, Jarāsandha.


Text

By the power of Lord Kṛṣṇa, the Vṛṣṇis would invariably annihilate all of Jarāsandha’s forces, and when all his soldiers had been killed, the King, released by his enemies, would again go away.
