astiḥ prÄptiÅ› ca kaá¹sasya
mahiá¹£yau bharatará¹£abha
má¹›te bhartari duḥkhÄrte

 Å›rÄ«-Å›ukaḥ uvÄca - Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said; astiḥ prÄptiḥ ca - Asti and PrÄpti; kaá¹sasya - of Kaá¹sa; mahiá¹£yau - the queens; bharata-ṛṣabha - O hero of the BhÄratas (ParÄ«ká¹£it); má¹›te - having been killed; bhartari - their husband; duḥkha - with unhappiness; Ärte - distressed; Ä«yatuḥ sma - they went; pituḥ - of their father; gá¹›hÄn - to the house.

Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said: When Kaá¹sa was killed, O heroic descendant of Bharata, his two queens, Asti and PrÄpti, went to their father’s house in great distress.
