phala-prabÄla-stavaka-
sumanaḥ-piccha-dhÄtubhiḥ
kÄca-guñjÄ-maṇi-svarṇa-
bhūṣitÄ apy abhūṣayan

 phala - fruits from the forest; prabÄla - green leaves; stavaka - bunches; sumanaḥ - beautiful flowers; piccha - peacock feathers; dhÄtubhiḥ - very soft and colorful minerals; kÄca - a kind of gem; guñjÄ - small conchshells; maṇi - pearls; svarṇa - gold; bhūṣitÄḥ - although decorated; api abhūṣayan - in spite of being decorated by their mothers, the boys decorated themselves still more with the above-mentioned articles.

Although all these boys were already decorated by their mothers with ornaments of kÄca, guñjÄ, pearls and gold, when they went into the forest they further decorated themselves with fruits, green leaves, bunches of flowers, peacock feathers and soft minerals.
