ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu also offered obeisances unto RÄmacandra PurÄ«, who then embraced Him and thus remembered Kṛṣṇa.

Purport

ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu offered obeisances to RÄmacandra PurÄ« in consideration of his being a disciple of ÅšrÄ«la MÄdhavendra PurÄ«, the spiritual master of His own spiritual master, Īśvara PurÄ«. When a Vaiṣṇava sannyÄsÄ« meets another Vaiṣṇava sannyÄsÄ«, they both remember Kṛṣṇa. Even MÄyÄvÄdÄ« sannyÄsÄ«s generally remember NÄrÄyaṇa, who is also Kṛṣṇa, by saying oá¹ namo bhagavate nÄrÄyaṇÄya or namo nÄrÄyaṇÄya. Thus it is the duty of a sannyÄsÄ« to remember Kṛṣṇa. According to smá¹›ti-Å›Ästra, a sannyÄsÄ« does not offer obeisances or blessings to anyone. It is said, sannyÄsÄ« nirÄśīr nirnamaskriyaḥ: a sannyÄsÄ« should not offer anyone blessings or obeisances.
