bhaṭṭera manete ei chila dīrgha garva
prabhura vacana śuni' se ha-ila kharva

 bhaá¹­á¹­era manete - in the mind of Vallabha Bhaá¹­á¹­a; ei - this; chila - was existing; dÄ«rgha - for a long time; garva - pride; prabhura - of ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu; vacana - the words; Å›uni' - by hearing; se - that; ha-ila - was; kharva - cut down.

Such pride had existed for a long time within the mind of Vallabha Bhaá¹­á¹­a, but as he heard the preaching of ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu, his pride was cut down.
