 aiÅ›varya-made - being proud of his opulence; matta - maddened; indra - the King of heaven; yena - as if; mÄtoyÄla - a mad person; buddhi-nÄÅ›a - bereft of intelligence; haila - became; kevala - only; nÄhika - there is not; sÄmbhÄla - caution.

“Indra, the King of heaven, being too proud of his heavenly opulences, became like a madman. Thus bereft of his intelligence, he could not restrain himself from speaking nonsensically about Kṛṣṇa.
