Å›Äke - in the ÅšakÄbda Era; sindhu-agni-vÄṇa-indau - in 1537; jyaiá¹£á¹he - in the month of Jyaiá¹£á¹ha (May-June); vá¹›ndÄvana-antare - in the forest of Vá¹›ndÄvana; sÅ«rya-ahe - on the day of the sun (Sunday); asita-pañcamyÄm - on the fifth day of the dark fortnight; granthaḥ - book; ayam - this (Caitanya-caritÄmá¹›ta); pÅ«rṇatÄm - completion; gataḥ - achieved.
In Vá¹›ndÄvana in the year 1537 ÅšakÄbda Era [A.D 1615], in the month of Jyaiá¹£á¹ha [May-June], on Sunday, the fifth day of the waning moon, this Caitanya-caritÄmá¹›ta has been completed.
Thus end the Bhaktivedanta purports to ÅšrÄ« Caitanya-caritÄmá¹›ta, Antya-lÄ«lÄ, twentieth chapter, describing the meaning of the Åšiká¹£Äá¹£á¹aka and how the Lord tasted it Himself.
