"ĹrÄŤ-nášsiášha, jaya nášsiášha, jaya jaya nášsiášha
prahlÄdeĹa jaya padmÄ-mukha-padma-bhášáš ga"
ĹrÄŤ-nášsiášha - Lord Nášsiášha with LakᚣmÄŤ; jaya nášsiášha - all glories to Lord Nášsiášha; jaya jaya - again and again glories; nášsiášha - to Nášsiášhadeva; prahlÄda-ÄŤĹa - to the Lord of PrahlÄda MahÄrÄja; jaya - all glories; padmÄ - of the goddess of fortune; mukha-padma - of the lotuslike face; bhášáš ga - the bee.
The goddess of fortune is always embraced by Lord Nášsiášhadeva. This is mentioned in the commentary on ĹrÄŤmad- BhÄgavatam written by the great commentator ĹrÄŤla ĹrÄŤdhara SvÄmÄŤ. The following verse was composed by ĹrÄŤdhara SvÄmÄŤ in his commentary on the Tenth Canto of ĹrÄŤmad-BhÄgavatam (10.87.1):
vÄg-ÄŤĹÄ yasya vadane lakᚣmÄŤr yasya ca vakᚣasi
yasyÄste hášdaye samvit taáš nášsiášham ahaáš bhaje
âLord Nášsiášhadeva is always assisted by SarasvatÄŤ, the goddess of learning, and He is always embracing the goddess of fortune to His chest. The Lord is always complete in knowledge within Himself. Let us offer obeisances unto Nášsiášhadeva.â
Similarly, in his commentary on the First Canto of ĹrÄŤmad-BhÄgavatam (1.1.1), ĹrÄŤdhara SvÄmÄŤ describes Lord Nášsiášhadeva in this way:
prahlÄda-hášdayÄhlÄdaáš bhaktÄvidyÄ-vidÄraášam
Ĺarad-indu-ruciáš vande pÄrÄŤndra-vadanaáš harim
âLet me offer my obeisances unto Lord Nášsiášhadeva, who is always enlightening PrahlÄda MahÄrÄja within his heart and who always kills the nescience that attacks the devotees. His mercy is distributed like moonshine, and His face is like that of a lion. Let me offer my obeisances unto Him again and again.â
