"tumi jagad-guru — sarvaloka-hita-kartÄ
vedÄnta paá¸Äo, sannyÄsÄ«ra upakartÄ
tumi jagat-guru - you are the master of all people; sarva-loka - of all people; hita-kartÄ - the well-wisher; vedÄnta paá¸Äo - you teach VedÄnta philosophy; sannyÄsÄ«ra - of the mendicants in the renounced order of life; upakartÄ - the benefactor.
Because the MÄyÄvÄdÄ« sannyÄsÄ«s teach VedÄnta philosophy to their students or disciples, they are customarily called jagad-guru. This indicates that they are the benefactors of all people. Although SÄrvabhauma Bhaá¹á¹ÄcÄrya was not a sannyÄsÄ« but a householder, he used to invite all the sannyÄsÄ«s to his home and offer them prasÄdam. Thus he was accepted as the best well-wisher and friend of all the sannyÄsÄ«s.
