 strÄ« kahe - the wife replied; jāti laha' - then take his caste; yadi - if; prāį¹‡e nā māribe - you will not kill him; rājā kahe - the King replied; jāti nile - if I take his caste; iį¹…ho nāhi jÄ«be - he will not live (he will commit suicide).

As a last alternative, the wife suggested that the Nawab take away Subuddhi Rāyaā€™s caste and turn him into a Muslim, but Hussain Khān replied that if he did this, Subuddhi Rāya would not live.
