yadá¹›cchayÄ mat-kathÄdau
jÄta-Å›raddhas tu yaḥ pumÄn
na nirviṇṇo nÄti-sakto
bhakti-yogo 'sya siddhi-daḥ
yadá¹›cchayÄ - by some good fortune; mat-kathÄ-Ädau - in talk about Me; jÄta-Å›raddhaḥ - has awakened his attraction; tu - but; yaḥ pumÄn - a person who; na nirviṇṇaḥ - not falsely detached; na ati-saktaḥ - not very much attached to material existence; bhakti-yogaḥ - the process of devotional service; asya - for such a person; siddhi-daḥ - bestowing perfection.
This verse from ÅšrÄ«mad-BhÄgavatam (11.20.8) was spoken by Kṛṣṇa at the time of His departure from this material world. It was spoken to Uddhava.
