Purport

Kṛṣṇa says in the Bhagavad-gÄ«tÄ (4.8), paritrÄṇÄya sÄdhÅ«nÄá¹ vinÄÅ›Äya ca duá¹£ká¹›tÄm. Sometimes the Lord invests His power to rule in a king like Pá¹›thu and enables such a king to kill rogues and miscreants. He also invests His power in incarnations like ParaÅ›urÄma.
