kali-kÄle sei 'kṛṣṇÄvatÄra' niÅ›caya
sudá¹›á¸ha kariyÄ kaha, yÄuka samÅ›aya"
kali-kÄle - in the Age of Kali; sei - that personality; kṛṣṇa-avatÄra - the incarnation of Kṛṣṇa; niÅ›caya - certainly; su-dá¹›á¸ha kariyÄ - firmly; kaha - kindly inform me; yÄuka samÅ›aya - so that all doubts may go away.
SanÄtana GosvÄmÄ« wanted to confirm the fact that ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu is the incarnation of Kṛṣṇa for this age. According to the Å›Ästra, in Kali-yuga the Lord would assume a golden or yellow color and would distribute love of Kṛṣṇa and the saá¹…kÄ«rtana movement. In accordance with the Å›Ästra and saintly persons, these characteristics were vividly displayed by ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu, and it was therefore clear that ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu was an incarnation of Kṛṣṇa. He was confirmed by the Å›Ästras, and His characteristics were accepted by saintly people. Since ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu could not escape SanÄtana GosvÄmī’s argument, He remained silent on this point and thereby indirectly accepted SanÄtana’s statement. By this we can clearly understand that ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu was the direct incarnation of Lord Kṛṣṇa.
