'pÄvanÄdi' saba kuṇá¸e snÄna kariyÄ
lokere puchila, parvata-upare yÄñÄ

 pÄvana-Ädi - PÄvana and others; saba kuṇá¸e - in every lake; snÄna kariyÄ - taking a bath; lokere puchila - inquired from persons there; parvata-upare yÄÃ±Ä - going up a hill.

ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu bathed in all the celebrated lakes, beginning with Lake PÄvana. Thereafter He climbed a hill and spoke to the people.

Purport

The PÄvana-sarovara is described in the MathurÄ-mÄhÄtmya:

pÄvane sarasi snÄtvÄ kṛṣṇaá¹ nandÄ«Å›vare girau
dṛṣṭvÄ nandaá¹ yaÅ›odÄá¹ ca sarvÄbhīṣṭam avÄpnuyÄt

“One who bathes in PÄvana Lake by NandÄ«Å›vara Hill will see Kṛṣṇa there along with Nanda and YaÅ›odÄ and will fufill all his desires.â€
