Å›rÄ«-rÅ«pa - ÅšrÄ«la RÅ«pa GosvÄmÄ«; raghunÄtha - ÅšrÄ«la RaghunÄtha dÄsa GosvÄmÄ«; pade - at the lotus feet; yÄra - whose; ÄÅ›a - expectation; caitanya-caritÄmá¹›ta - the book named Caitanya-caritÄmá¹›ta; kahe - describes; kṛṣṇa-dÄsa - ÅšrÄ«la KṛṣṇadÄsa KavirÄja GosvÄmÄ«.
Praying at the lotus feet of ÅšrÄ« RÅ«pa and ÅšrÄ« RaghunÄtha, always desiring their mercy, I, KṛṣṇadÄsa, narrate ÅšrÄ« Caitanya-caritÄmá¹›ta, following in their footsteps.
ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu wanted to preach the saá¹…kÄ«rtana movement of love of Kṛṣṇa throughout the entire world, and therefore during His presence He inspired the saá¹…kÄ«rtana movement. Specifically, He sent RÅ«pa GosvÄmÄ« and SanÄtana GosvÄmÄ« to Vá¹›ndÄvana and NityÄnanda to Bengal and personally went to South India. In this way He kindly left the task of preaching His cult in the rest of the world to the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. The members of this Society must always remember that if they stick to the regulative principles and preach sincerely according to the instructions of the ÄcÄryas, surely they will have the profound blessings of Lord Caitanya MahÄprabhu, and their preaching work will be successful everywhere throughout the world.
Thus end the Bhaktivedanta purports to ÅšrÄ« Caitanya-caritÄmá¹›ta, Ä€di-lÄ«lÄ, Seventh chapter, describing Lord Caitanya in five features.
