sarva-veda-sÅ«tre kare kṛṣṇera abhidhÄna
mukhya-vá¹›tti chÄá¸i' kaila laká¹£aṇÄ-vyÄkhyÄna
sarva-veda-sÅ«tre - in all the aphorisms of the VedÄnta-sÅ«tra; kare - establishes; kṛṣṇera - of Lord Kṛṣṇa; abhidhÄna - explanation; mukhya-vá¹›tti - direct interpretation; chÄá¸i' - giving up; kaila - made; laká¹£aá¹‡Ä - indirect; vyÄkhyÄna - explanation.
It is said:
vede rÄmÄyaṇe caiva purÄṇe bhÄrate tathÄ
ÄdÄv ante ca madhye ca hariḥ sarvatra gÄ«yate
“In the Vedic literature, including the RÄmÄyaṇa, PurÄṇas and MahÄbhÄrata, from the very beginning (Ädau) to the end (ante ca), as well as within the middle (madhye ca), only Hari, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is explained.â€
