prÄte Äsi' prabhu-pade la-ila Å›araṇa
prabhu ká¹›pÄ kaila, tÄá¹…ra khaṇá¸ila bandhana
prÄte - in the morning; Äsi' - coming back; prabhu-pade - at the lotus feet of the Lord; la-ila - took; Å›araṇa - shelter; prabhu - the Lord; ká¹›pÄ - mercy; kaila - showed; tÄá¹…ra - his; khaṇá¸ila - cut off; bandhana - all bondage.
The same process advocated by Lord ÅšrÄ« Kṛṣṇa in His teachings of the Bhagavad-gÄ«tÄ as it is — “Surrender unto Me in all instances†— was advocated by Lord Caitanya MahÄprabhu. The champion surrendered unto the Lord, and the Lord favored him. One who is favored by the Lord is freed from material bondage, as stated in the Bhagavad-gÄ«tÄ (4.9): tyaktvÄ dehaá¹ punar janma naiti mÄm eti so ’rjuna.
