When RaghunÄtha dÄsa GosvÄmÄ« approached ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu at JagannÄtha PurÄ«, the Lord entrusted him to the care of SvarÅ«pa DÄmodara, His secretary. Thus they both engaged in the confidential service of the Lord.

Purport

This confidential service was the personal care of the Lord. SvarÅ«pa DÄmodara, acting as His secretary, attended to the Lord’s baths, meals, rest and massages, and RaghunÄtha dÄsa GosvÄmÄ« assisted him. In effect, RaghunÄtha dÄsa GosvÄmÄ« acted as the assistant secretary of the Lord.
