Å›uklÄmbara-brahmacÄrÄ« baá¸a bhÄgyavÄn

Å›uklÄmbara-brahmacÄrÄ« - ÅšuklÄmbara BrahmacÄrÄ«; baá¸a - very; bhÄgyavÄn - fortunate; yÄá¹…ra - whose; anna - food; mÄgi' - begging; kÄá¸i' - snatching; khÄilÄ - ate; bhagavÄn - the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
The sixteenth branch, ÅšuklÄmbara BrahmacÄrÄ«, was very fortunate because Lord Caitanya MahÄprabhu jokingly or seriously begged food from him or sometimes snatched it from him forcibly and ate it.
It is stated that ÅšuklÄmbara BrahmacÄrÄ«, an inhabitant of NavadvÄ«pa, was Lord Caitanya MahÄprabhu’s first companion in the saá¹…kÄ«rtana movement. When Lord Caitanya returned from GayÄ after initiation, He stayed with ÅšuklÄmbara BrahmacÄrÄ« because He wanted to hear from this devotee about the pastimes of Lord Kṛṣṇa. ÅšuklÄmbara BrahmacÄrÄ« collected alms of rice from the inhabitants of NavadvÄ«pa, and ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu took pleasure in eating the rice that he cooked. It is said that ÅšuklÄmbara BrahmacÄrÄ« was one of the wives of the yajñic brÄhmaṇas during the time of Lord Kṛṣṇa’s pastimes in Vá¹›ndÄvana. Lord Kṛṣṇa begged food from the wives of the yajñic brÄhmaṇas, and Lord Caitanya MahÄprabhu performed a similar pastime by begging rice from ÅšuklÄmbara BrahmacÄrÄ«.
