I create after the Lordâs creation by His personal effulgence [known as the brahmajyoti], just as when the sun manifests its fire, the moon, the firmament, the influential planets and the twinkling stars also manifest their brightness. The Cause of All Causes |
| SB 2.5.11 |
After showing his wife the globe of the universe and its different arrangements, full of many wonders, the great yogÄŤ Kardama Muni returned to his own hermitage. Devahuti's Lamentation |
| SB 3.23.43 |
Lord Ĺiva continued: Any person who is surrendered to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, KášášŁáša, the controller of everything â material nature as well as the living entity â is actually very dear to me. Chanting the Song Sung by Lord Siva |
| SB 4.24.28 |
During the rainy season, water is generated from the sun, and in due course of time, during the summer season, the very same water is again absorbed by the sun. Similarly, all living entities, moving and inert, are generated from the earth, and again, after some time, they all return to the earth as dust. Similarly, everything emanates from the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and in due course of time everything enters into Him again. Narada Instructs the Pracetas |
| SB 4.31.15 |
There are two kinds of kᚣetrajĂąa â the living entity, as explained above, and the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is explained as follows. He is the all-pervading cause of creation. He is full in Himself and is not dependent on others. He is perceived by hearing and direct perception. He is self-effulgent and does not experience birth, death, old age or disease. He is the controller of all the demigods, beginning with Lord BrahmÄ. He is called NÄrÄyaáša, and He is the shelter of living entities after the annihilation of this material world. He is full of all opulences, and He is the resting place of everything material. He is therefore known as VÄsudeva, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. By His own potency, He is present within the hearts of all living entities, just as the air or vital force is within the bodies of all beings, moving and nonmoving. In this way He controls the body. In His partial feature, the Supreme Personality of Godhead enters all bodies and controls them. Jada Bharata Instructs King Rahugana |
| SB 5.11.13-14 |
O Lord GirÄŤĹa, since the impersonal Brahman effulgence is transcendental to the material modes of goodness, passion and ignorance, the various directors of this material world certainly cannot appreciate it or even know where it is. It is not understandable even to Lord BrahmÄ, Lord Viᚣášu or the King of heaven, Mahendra. Lord Siva Saves the Universe by Drinking Poison |
| SB 8.7.31 |
After completing the sacrifice, Lord RÄmacandra, whose lotus feet were sometimes pierced by thorns when He lived in Daášá¸akÄraášya, placed those lotus feet in the hearts of those who always think of Him. Then He entered His own abode, the Vaikuášášha planet beyond the brahmajyoti. Lord Ramacandra Rules the World |
| SB 9.11.19 |
My dear King PurĹŤravÄ, please give protection to these two lambs, who have fallen down with me. Although I belong to the heavenly planets and you belong to earth, I shall certainly enjoy sexual union with you. I have no objection to accepting you as my husband, for you are superior in every respect. King Pururava Enchanted by Urvasi |
| SB 9.14.21 |
While following KášášŁáša, mother YaĹodÄ, her thin waist overburdened by her heavy breasts, naturally had to reduce her speed. Because of following KášášŁáša very swiftly, her hair became loose, and the flowers in her hair were falling after her. Yet she did not fail to capture her son, KášášŁáša. Mother Yasoda Binds Lord Lord Krishna |
| SB 10.9.10 |
The Ĺrutis said: Victory, victory to You, O unconquerable one! By Your very nature You are perfectly full in all opulences; therefore please defeat the eternal power of illusion, who assumes control over the modes of nature to create difficulties for conditioned souls. O You who awaken all the energies of the moving and nonmoving embodied beings, sometimes the Vedas can recognize You as You sport with Your material and spiritual potencies. The Prayers of the Personified Vedas |
| SB 10.87.14 |
A devotee should not see anything as being separate from the Supreme Personality of Godhead, KášášŁáša. Ether, fire, air, water, earth, the sun and other luminaries, all living beings, the directions, trees and other plants, the rivers and oceans â whatever a devotee experiences he should consider to be an expansion of KášášŁáša. Thus seeing everything that exists within creation as the body of the Supreme Lord, Hari, the devotee should offer his sincere respects to the entire expansion of the Lordâs body. Maharaja Nimi Meets the Nine Yogendras |
| SB 11.2.41 |
Originally one, the Absolute, Brahman, comes to be known as threefold, manifesting itself as the three modes of material nature â goodness, passion and ignorance. Brahman further expands its potency, and thus the power to act and the power of consciousness become manifest, along with the false ego, which covers the identity of the conditioned living being. Thus, by the expansion of the multipotencies of the Absolute, the demigods, as the embodiment of knowledge, become manifest, along with the material senses, their objects, and the results of material activity, namely happiness and distress. In this way the manifestation of the material world takes place as the subtle cause and as the material effect visible in the appearance of gross material objects. Brahman, which is the source of all subtle and gross manifestations, is simultaneously transcendental to them, being absolute. Liberation from the Illusory Energy |
| SB 11.3.37 |
âPrior to the cosmic creation, only I exist, and no phenomena exist, either gross, subtle or primordial. After creation, only I exist in everything, and after annihilation, only I remain eternally. The Spiritual Masters |
| CC 1.1.53 |
âI worship Govinda, the primeval Lord, who is endowed with great power. The glowing effulgence of His transcendental form is the impersonal Brahman, which is absolute, complete and unlimited and which displays the varieties of countless planets, with their different opulences, in millions and millions of universes.â Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu Is the Supreme Personality of Godhead |
| CC 1.2.14 |
The disciples of the BhaášášÄcÄrya said, âWe derive knowledge of the Absolute Truth by logical hypothesis.â The Liberation of Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya |
| CC 2.6.81 |
âEverything in the cosmic manifestation emanates from the Absolute Truth, remains in the Absolute Truth, and after annihilation again enters the Absolute Truth. The Liberation of Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya |
| CC 2.6.143 |
SÄrvabhauma BhaášášÄcÄrya continued, âThere are two kinds of sÄyujya-mukti: merging into the Brahman effulgence and merging into the personal body of the Lord. Merging into the Lordâs body is even more abominable than merging into His effulgence.â The Liberation of Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya |
| CC 2.6.269 |
â âI worship Govinda, the primeval Lord, who is endowed with great power. The glowing effulgence of His transcendental form is the impersonal Brahman, which is absolute, complete and unlimited and which displays the varieties of countless planets, with their different opulences, in millions and millions of universes.â Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu Instructs Sanatana Gosvami in the Science of the Absolute Truth |
