Chapter 7: The Descendants of King Mandhata. Text 4

त्रसद्दस्युः पौरुकुत्सो योऽनरण्यस्य देहकृत् ।
हर्यश्वस्तत्सुतस्तस्मात्प्रारुणोऽथ त्रिबन्धनः ॥४॥

trasaddasyuḥ paurukutso
yo 'naraṇyasya deha-kṛt
haryaÅ›vas tat-sutas tasmÄt
prÄruṇo 'tha tribandhanaḥ

 trasaddasyuḥ - by the name Trasaddasyu; paurukutsaḥ - the son of Purukutsa; yaḥ - who; anaraṇyasya - of Anaraṇya; deha-ká¹›t - the father; haryaÅ›vaḥ - by the name HaryaÅ›va; tat-sutaḥ - the son of Anaraṇya; tasmÄt - from him (HaryaÅ›va); prÄruṇaḥ - by the name PrÄruṇa; atha - then, from PrÄruṇa; tribandhanaḥ - his son, Tribandhana.


Text

The son of Purukutsa was Trasaddasyu, who was the father of Anaraṇya. Anaraṇya’s son was HaryaÅ›va, the father of PrÄruṇa. PrÄruṇa was the father of Tribandhana.
