विरूपः केतुमान्छम्भुरम्बरीषसुतास्त्रयः ।
विरूपात् पृषदश्वोऽभूत् तत्पुत्रस्तु रथीतरः ॥१॥

 Å›rÄ«-Å›ukaḥ uvÄca - ÅšrÄ« Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said; virÅ«paḥ - by the name VirÅ«pa; ketumÄn - by the name KetumÄn; Å›ambhuḥ - by the name Åšambhu; ambarÄ«á¹£a - of AmbarÄ«á¹£a MahÄrÄja; sutÄḥ trayaḥ - the three sons; virÅ«pÄt - from VirÅ«pa; pṛṣadaÅ›vaḥ - of the name PṛṣadaÅ›va; abhÅ«t - there was; tat-putraḥ - his son; tu - and; rathÄ«taraḥ - of the name RathÄ«tara.

Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said: O MahÄrÄja ParÄ«ká¹£it, AmbarÄ«á¹£a had three sons, named VirÅ«pa, KetumÄn and Åšambhu. From VirÅ«pa came a son named PṛṣadaÅ›va, and from PṛṣadaÅ›va came a son named RathÄ«tara.
