सन्दह्यमानोऽजितशस्त्रवह्निना
तत्पादमूले पतितः सवेपथुः ।
आहाच्युतानन्त सदीप्सित प्रभो
कृतागसं मावहि विश्वभावन ॥६१॥

sandahyamÄno 'jita-Å›astra-vahninÄ
tat-pÄda-mÅ«le patitaḥ savepathuḥ
ÄhÄcyutÄnanta sad-Ä«psita prabho
ká¹›tÄgasaá¹ mÄvahi viÅ›va-bhÄvana

 sandahyamÄnaḥ - being burned by the heat; ajita-Å›astra-vahninÄ - by the blazing fire of the Supreme Personality of Godhead's weapon; tat-pÄda-mÅ«le - at His lotus feet; patitaḥ - falling down; sa-vepathuḥ - with trembling of the body; Äha - said; acyuta - O my Lord, O infallible one; ananta - O You of unlimited prowess; sat-Ä«psita - O Lord desired by saintly persons; prabho - O Supreme; ká¹›ta-Ägasam - the greatest offender;  - to me; avahi - give protection; viÅ›va-bhÄvana - O well-wisher of the whole universe.

DurvÄsÄ Muni, the great mystic, scorched by the heat of the SudarÅ›ana cakra, fell at the lotus feet of NÄrÄyaṇa. His body trembling, he spoke as follows: O infallible, unlimited Lord, protector of the entire universe, You are the only desirable objective for all devotees. I am a great offender, my Lord. Please give me protection.
