प्रतिनन्द्य स तां याच्ञां कर्तुमावश्यकं गतः ।
निममज्ज बृहद्ध्यायन् कालिन्दीसलिले शुभे ॥३७॥

 pratinandya - gladly accepting; saḥ - DurvÄsÄ Muni; tÄm - that; yÄcñÄm - request; kartum - to perform; ÄvaÅ›yakam - the necessary ritualistic ceremonies; gataḥ - went; nimamajja - dipped his body in the water; bá¹›hat - the Supreme Brahman; dhyÄyan - meditating on; kÄlindÄ« - of the YamunÄ; salile - in the water; Å›ubhe - very auspicious.

DurvÄsÄ Muni gladly accepted the request of MahÄrÄja AmbarÄ«á¹£a, but to perform the regulative ritualistic ceremonies he went to the river YamunÄ. There he dipped into the water of the auspicious YamunÄ and meditated upon the impersonal Brahman.
