जनमेजयस्त्वां विदित्वा तक्षकान्निधनं गतम् ।
सर्पान् वै सर्पयागाग्नौ स होष्यति रुषान्वितः ॥३६॥

janamejayas tvÄá¹ viditvÄ
taká¹£akÄn nidhanaá¹ gatam
sarpÄn vai sarpa-yÄgÄgnau
sa hoá¹£yati ruá¹£Änvitaḥ

 janamejayaḥ - the eldest son; tvÄm - about you; viditvÄ - knowing; taká¹£akÄt - by the Taká¹£aka serpent; nidhanam - death; gatam - undergone; sarpÄn - the snakes; vai - indeed; sarpa-yÄga-agnau - in the fire of the sacrifice for killing all the snakes; saḥ - he (Janamejaya); hoá¹£yati - will offer as a sacrifice; ruá¹£Ä-anvitaḥ - because of being very angry.

Because of your death by the Taká¹£aka snake, your son Janamejaya will be very angry and will perform a sacrifice to kill all the snakes in the world.
