श्रीशुक उवाच
मित्रायुश्च दिवोदासाच्च्यवनस्तत्सुतो नृप ।
सुदासः सहदेवोऽथ सोमको जन्तुजन्मकृत् ॥१॥

 Å›rÄ«-Å›ukaḥ uvÄca - ÅšrÄ« Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said; mitrÄyuḥ - MitrÄyu; ca - and; divodÄsÄt - was born from DivodÄsa; cyavanaḥ - Cyavana; tat-sutaḥ - the son of MitrÄyu; ná¹›pa - O King; sudÄsaḥ - SudÄsa; sahadevaḥ - Sahadeva; atha - thereafter; somakaḥ - Somaka; jantu-janma-ká¹›t - the father of Jantu.

Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said: O King, the son of DivodÄsa was MitrÄyu, and from MitrÄyu came four sons, named Cyavana, SudÄsa, Sahadeva and Somaka. Somaka was the father of Jantu.
