duá¹£manto má¹›gayÄá¹ yÄtaḥ
kaṇvÄÅ›rama-padaá¹ gataḥ
tatrÄsÄ«nÄá¹ sva-prabhayÄ
maṇá¸ayantÄ«á¹ ramÄm iva
vilokya sadyo mumuhe
deva-mÄyÄm iva striyam
babhÄá¹£e tÄá¹ varÄrohÄá¹
bhaá¹aiḥ katipayair vá¹›taḥ
duá¹£mantaḥ - MahÄrÄja Duá¹£manta; má¹›gayÄm yÄtaḥ - when he went hunting; kaṇva-ÄÅ›rama-padam - to the residence of Kaṇva; gataḥ - he came; tatra - there; ÄsÄ«nÄm - a woman sitting; sva-prabhayÄ - by her own beauty; maṇá¸ayantÄ«m - illuminating; ramÄm iva - exactly like the goddess of fortune; vilokya - by observing; sadyaḥ - immediately; mumuhe - he became enchanted; deva-mÄyÄm iva - exactly like the illusory energy of the Lord; striyam - a beautiful woman; babhÄá¹£e - he addressed; tÄm - her (the woman); vara-ÄrohÄm - who was the best of beautiful women; bhaá¹aiḥ - by soldiers; katipayaiḥ - a few; vá¹›taḥ - surrounded.
