ता जलाशयमासाद्य कन्याः कमललोचनाः ।
तीरे न्यस्य दुकूलानि विजह्रुः सिञ्चतीर्मिथः ॥८॥

vijahruḥ siñcatīr mithaḥ

 tÄḥ - they; jala-ÄÅ›ayam - to the lakeside; ÄsÄdya - coming; kanyÄḥ - all the girls; kamala-locanÄḥ - with eyes like lotus petals; tÄ«re - on the bank; nyasya - giving up; dukÅ«lÄni - their dresses; vijahruḥ - began to sport; siñcatīḥ - throwing water; mithaḥ - on one another.

When the young, lotus-eyed girls came to the bank of a reservoir of water, they wanted to enjoy by bathing. Thus they left their clothing on the bank and began sporting, throwing water on one another.
