Å›rÄ«-bÄdarÄyaṇiḥ uvÄca - ÅšrÄ« Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« replied; haihayÄnÄm adhipatiḥ - the King of the Haihayas; arjunaḥ - by the name KÄrtavÄ«ryÄrjuna; ká¹£atriya-ṛṣabhaḥ - the best of the ká¹£atriyas; dattam - unto DattÄtreya; nÄrÄyaṇa-amÅ›a-amÅ›am - the plenary portion of the plenary portion of NÄrÄyaṇa; ÄrÄdhya - after worshiping; parikarmabhiḥ - by worship according to the regulative principles; bÄhÅ«n - arms; daÅ›a-Å›atam - one thousand (ten times one hundred); lebhe - achieved; durdhará¹£atvam - the quality of being very difficult to conquer; arÄtiá¹£u - in the midst of enemies; avyÄhata - undefeatable; indriya-ojaḥ - strength of the senses; Å›rÄ« - beauty; tejaḥ - influence; vÄ«rya - power; yaÅ›aḥ - fame; balam - bodily strength; yoga-Ä«Å›varatvam - controlling power gained by the practice of mystic yoga; aiÅ›varyam - opulence; guṇÄḥ - qualities; yatra - wherein; aṇimÄ-Ädayaḥ - eight kinds of yogic perfection (aṇimÄ, laghimÄ, etc.); cacÄra - he went; avyÄhata-gatiḥ - whose progress was indefatigable; lokeá¹£u - all over the world or universe; pavanaḥ - the wind; yathÄ - like.
