यमाहुर्वासुदेवांशं हैहयानां कुलान्तकम् ।
त्रिःसप्तकृत्वो य इमां चक्रे निःक्षत्रियां महीम् ॥१४॥

cakre niḥká¹£atriyÄá¹ mahÄ«m

 yam - whom (ParaÅ›urÄma); Ähuḥ - all the learned scholars say; vÄsudeva-amÅ›am - an incarnation of VÄsudeva, the Supreme Personality of Godhead; haihayÄnÄm - of the Haihayas; kula-antakam - the annihilator of the dynasty; triḥ-sapta-ká¹›tvaḥ - twenty-one times; yaḥ - who (ParaÅ›urÄma); imÄm - this; cakre - made; niḥká¹£atriyÄm - devoid of ká¹£atriyas; mahÄ«m - the earth.

Learned scholars accept this ParaÅ›urÄma as the celebrated incarnation of VÄsudeva who annihilated the dynasty of KÄrtavÄ«rya. ParaÅ›urÄma killed all the ká¹£atriyas on earth twenty-one times.
