अन्तर्वत्नीमुपालक्ष्य देवीं स प्रययौ पुरीम् ।
पुनस्तत्र गतोऽब्दान्ते उर्वशीं वीरमातरम् ॥४०॥

 antarvatnÄ«m - pregnant; upÄlaká¹£ya - by observing; devÄ«m - Urvaśī; saḥ - he, King PurÅ«ravÄ; prayayau - returned; purÄ«m - to his palace; punaḥ - again; tatra - at that very spot; gataḥ - went; abda-ante - at the end of the year; urvaśīm - Urvaśī; vÄ«ra-mÄtaram - the mother of one ká¹£atriya son.

Understanding that Urvaśī was pregnant, PurÅ«ravÄ returned to his palace. At the end of the year, there at Kuruká¹£etra, he again obtained the association of Urvaśī, who was then the mother of a heroic son.
