saá¹vatsarÄnte hi bhavÄn
eka-rÄtraá¹ mayeÅ›varaḥ
raá¹syaty apatyÄni ca te
bhaviá¹£yanty aparÄṇi bhoḥ
saá¹vatsara-ante - at the end of every year; hi - indeed; bhavÄn - your good self; eka-rÄtram - one night only; mayÄ - with me; Ä«Å›varaḥ - my husband; raá¹syati - will enjoy sex life; apatyÄni - children; ca - also; te - your; bhaviá¹£yanti - will generate; aparÄṇi - others, one after another; bhoḥ - O my dear King.
Although Urvaśī had adversely explained the nature of woman, MahÄrÄja PurÅ«ravÄ was very much attached to her, and therefore she wanted to give the King some concession by agreeing to be his wife for one night at the end of each year.
