पुत्रान् स्वमातरस्तास्तु प्राणांस्तन्व इवोत्थिताः ।
आरोप्याङ्केऽभिषिञ्चन्त्यो बाष्पौघैर्विजहुः शुचः ॥४७॥

 putrÄn - the sons; sva-mÄtaraḥ - Their mothers; tÄḥ - they, headed by KauÅ›alyÄ and KaikeyÄ«; tu - but; prÄṇÄn - life; tanvaḥ - bodies; iva - like; utthitÄḥ - arisen; Äropya - keeping; aá¹…ke - on the lap; abhiá¹£iñcantyaḥ - moistening (the bodies of their sons); bÄá¹£pa - by tears; oghaiḥ - continuously pouring; vijahuḥ - gave up; Å›ucaḥ - lamentation due to separation from their sons.

Upon seeing their sons, the mothers of RÄma, Laká¹£maṇa, Bharata and Åšatrughna immediately arose, like unconscious bodies returning to consciousness. The mothers placed their sons on their laps and bathed Them with tears, thus relieving themselves of the grief of long separation.
