praviÅ›ya rÄja-bhavanaá¹
guru-patnīḥ sva-mÄtaram
gurÅ«n vayasyÄvarajÄn
pūjitaḥ pratyapūjayat
vaidehī lakṣmaṇaś caiva
yathÄvat samupeyatuḥ
bhrÄtrÄ - by His brother (Bharata); abhinanditaḥ - being welcomed properly; saḥ - He, Lord RÄmacandra; atha - thereafter; sa-utsavÄm - in the midst of a festival; prÄviÅ›at - entered; purÄ«m - the city of AyodhyÄ; praviÅ›ya - after entering; rÄja-bhavanam - the royal palace; guru-patnīḥ - KaikeyÄ« and other stepmothers; sva-mÄtaram - His own mother (KauÅ›alyÄ); gurÅ«n - the spiritual masters (ÅšrÄ« Vasiá¹£á¹ha and others); vayasya - unto friends of the same age; avara-jÄn - and those who were younger than He; pÅ«jitaḥ - being worshiped by them; pratyapÅ«jayat - He returned the obeisances; vaidehÄ« - mother SÄ«tÄ; laká¹£maṇaḥ - Laká¹£maṇa; ca eva - and; yathÄ-vat - in a befitting way; samupeyatuḥ - being welcomed, entered the palace.
