तेऽन्योन्यमभिसंसृत्य क्षिपन्तो मर्मभिर्मिथः ।
आह्वयन्तो विशन्तोऽग्रे युयुधुर्द्वन्द्वयोधिनः ॥२७॥

te 'nyonyam abhisaá¹sá¹›tya
kṣipanto marmabhir mithaḥ
Ähvayanto viÅ›anto 'gre
yuyudhur dvandva-yodhinaḥ

 te - all of them (the demigods and the demons); anyonyam - one another; abhisaá¹sá¹›tya - having come forward face to face; ká¹£ipantaḥ - chastising one another; marmabhiḥ mithaḥ - with much pain to the cores of the hearts of one another; Ähvayantaḥ - addressing one another; viÅ›antaḥ - having entered the battlefield; agre - in front; yuyudhuḥ - fought; dvandva-yodhinaḥ - two combatants chose each other.
